Tonee B. Shelton is a social worker, author, poet, facilitator and conversationalist. She has successfully published three volumes of poetry, In Search of Freedom, Identity Crisis and Remnants; all of which are literature which amplify and narrate the experiences of marginalized and oppressed people.

Tonee has experience in facilitating small and medium-sized groups, has curated and moderated panels, and has been a spoken word artist for over a decade. She is vastly interested in creating spaces of belonging for professionals and is adept at illustrating the intersection of art and equity via public speaking opportunities in which she leverages her poems to get people to think critically about their identity.
